1961 Model Kit Frankenstein by Aurora Plastic Corporation

From the 1920s to 1950s, Universal Studios created and released some of the most memorable and iconic monsters in cinema history, such as the "Phantom of The Opera", "The Hunchback", "Dracula" and "The Creature From The Black Lagoon."

In 1931, Frankenstein starring Boris Karloff, smashed his way onto the big screen, instilling fear into movie goers everywhere.

During the 1950's, Universal monsters were syndicated throughout the country on a weekly bases by famous horror TV hosts, such as Vampira, Sir Graves Ghastly,  and Ghoulardi Show, begining the monster craze.

In 1961, Plastic Corporation "Aurora" a U.S. toy and hobby manufacturing company, known for production of plastic model kits of airplanes, and automobiles, received licensing to create Universal Monster models.

Frankenstein was the first model/toy to ever be created!

The kit comes in several pieces and is unpainted, leaving you to giving your creature life with the flick of a paint brush and some glue.

A frightfully awesome piece of history!
